Wow! There’s been a lot going on…
I’ve re-started selling on eBay UK, now that they’ve seen sense and allowed free 99p listings.

I’m accepting banner advertising on q292u.com and quirkycars.net (already have one advertiser on there, and some more possibles..)

Still have some Atomic Gormiti figures and cards left, although the bulk of them went last week.

Leapfrog Clickstart / Cartridges

My kids have grown up with Leapfrog gear. Leappad, “My First Leappad”, “Leappad TV”, etc.
I swear by them. (Both my kids are top of their class).

Anyhow, there’s a new product: “Leapfrog Clickstart”. This plugs into the TV and behaves like a computer. It takes “game” cartridges like leapfrog TV.
The prices of these cartridges is £10-15 from Leapfrog! The system itself can be bought for £25, so this is crazy.

Search for the one(s) you want, and then ignore the AMAZON price, click on “New and Used”, then “New”. These are the third-party sellers (like me). You will find that you can pay less than £5….

PayPal & banking troubles.

Got back from holiday to find that PayPal were being an arse.
Two transactions had failed due to “Direct Debit problems”. Never happened before, and I’ve had that bank account for years..
Paypal then ran the transactions again, and charged them to my debit card, which was the SAME account.. went through fine.
When I asked the bank what went on, they said they had no record of PayPal ever asking for payment via DD on those transactions.. Hmm. Something smells.
And then I find that because the transactions had failed, PP had deleted that account from their records, meaning that I no longer had a verified bank account!
I’ve had to go through the entire, stupid verification process AGAIN.

I’ve had this domain for the last few years, I originally used it as an e-commerce site to sell second-hand car manuals etc.. I mainly used it to learn about webhosting, e-commerce and affiliate advertising.
For the last year it’s been “parked” with Google “Adsense for domains”, more than covering it’s annual renewal fees.

Nintendo DS Repairs

My daughter’s pink DS stopped working. Simply would not switch on. So I got in touch with DS-DOCTOR via eBay. Wow! now that’s service! I sent the DS via special delivery, arrived in 24 hours. Steve @ DS-Doctor tested it, opened it up and got it going the day after. As he’s not had to replace anything, only charged me return postage! (£3) Amazing.

It all got sorted in the end. Or rather: I sorted it in the end.

I contacted BT OpenReach myself, then informed TalkTalk that it was sorted..

Came home yesterday to find the BT OpenReach chap sitting in a (different) hole in the ground. Still cursing.

A while later, he pops around to test the landline. Working!

So let’s see, it went off Friday afternoon. Sorted Monday. 3 days off. Not brilliant.

Several Hours later, I get:

A text from TalkTalk asking for an engineer appointment. (He’s already sorted it – remember that extra layer of (mis)communication?)
A sales call from TalkTalk telling me I can have £10 if I sign up for another 18 months.

Hmmm.
